New Writing for the Contact Theatre in Manchester:
The New Writing/New Work Department are looking for submissions for their monthly pitch parties.
The title RAW (Rhythm And Words) in Theatre emphasizes the fact that Contact’s new writing department will concentrate on all forms of writing for theatre, including lyrical writing, and experiments with other artists, as well as plays.
Each month we have a pitch party at which we discuss submissions from writers and artists. We would like you to send in your idea with a sample of your writing (we read the first ten pages). The sample of your writing could be dialogue, poems, raps, lyrics, short stories or whatever form you work in. We'll then decide whether we can develop your ideas further. We’re looking for all kinds of people to submit, whether you’ve ever written for theatre before or not.

Comedy scripts sought by BBC Radio Scotland.
The topical weekly show "Watson's Wind Up" features sketches relevant to the week's news, ideally but not necessarily with a Scottish slant.
Scripts from 20 seconds to two minutes are welcome, by the weekly deadline of noon on Thursdays.
The show is recorded on Fridays and broadcast on Saturdays.
Submissions by email to philipdiffer@comedyunit.co.uk
