I began screen writing quite by accident when a producer working for Warner Bros TV, Burt Burnam read a eulogy I had written. On the strength of that he invited me to send him a sample of my creative writing; unlikely but absolutely true.

After a very steep learning curve I spent the next 10 years writing with and for Burt, and in 2000 we formed a partnership with Mel Efros. After Burt died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2004, Mel and I dissolved the partnership but remain good friends. It was an amazing time but no place for the faint hearted.

I love writing, creating characters and stories and exploring the human condition through them. More recently I’ve been concentrating on writing a novel (crime/thriller) and inspired by the contagious enthusiasm of the group, begun to dabble in playwriting.
